We love our runners! In short, we have a dedicated group of people who participated in our sneaker recycling program. Because of it, we’ve gotten to know them and know their passion for running. So, today we want to share some love and tell you about a few of the best running clubs in the USA. There are many clubs throughout the country. And if you run, then you know how much you could find in terms of resources and support by joining a club.
Perhaps you recently started running and not sure where to begin, or you want to compete. Well, we’re going to share our thoughts on the best running clubs. But, in this list, we’re going to try to give a little bit for everyone. For those clubs that didn’t make it onto our list, we know you’re fantastic. Still, we want to share a broad cross-section of groups to appeal to the most people. Further, we share in this article running clubs for elite, amateur, young, and even some great for socializing. So, let’s get started with our list!
1. Greater Boston Track
We start with this one because Greater Boston Track Club members run the oldest marathon in the U.S. Of course, we’re talking about the great Boston Marathon. The club started in 1973 at Boston College by a group of students looking for ways to compete after graduating.
2. Mammoth Track Club
Founded in 2001 in Mammoth Lakes, California, the Mammoth Track Club supports academic and athletic achievement. It also promotes lifelong fitness and runs in high-altitude environments. To date, the running club produced 14 Olympians, 29 American Record champions, and 64 National Champions.
3. A Tribe Called We Run Big D
So, the A Tribe Called We Run Big D is one of the clubs on our list that isn’t all about running! This club promotes itself as a “fitness tribe” in Dallas. They meet regularly and seek to promote different types of workout routines. Also, they want to have fun while staying in shape, so expect it to be loud and full of fun.
4. Hot Feet Track Club
The Hot Feet Track Club is for youth and those runners who want the competition. This running club has a particular focus on relay racing and hurdles. If you happen to know any youth who dream of becoming Olympians, well, this group in the Johnson County, Kansas area might just be the place.
5. Marathon Maniacs
The Marathon Maniacs love running! So, if this is you, you might want to consider this running club. To join, you have to qualify by doing three marathons in 90 days or two within 16 days. In short, if you seek a marathon challenge, you’re in good hands with this group.
6. Big Boss Run Club
We can’t believe we’re doing this, but how about a beer and running? Yes, we’ve got those two in the same sentence. A brewery supports the Big Boss Run Club. The running club does different distances, including 3.1, 5, and 6 mile runs. So, that explains that, and if you live in Raleigh, NC, you might want to make new friends and have a good (optional) brew each week.
7. Speed Track & Field
Located in Colorado Springs, the Speed Track & Field running club supports youth ages 8 to 19. Moreover, this group seeks to promote competition and compete at the USATF level. And, as with other youth groups, they too want to ensure excellence in sports, but also in academics.
8. Central Park Track Club
In New York City, runners could join the Central Park Track Club. This club is geared for track, road runners, sprinters, and also cross-country runners. The running club has more than 450 members who participate in weekly events. And it’s also one of the most competitive running clubs in the area.
